This site matters because the "differences" between the Republican Party and Democratic Party do not. Their shared values of contempt for the U.S. Constitution, abrogation of individual rights, corporate fascism, internationalism, corruption, selling out, and downright uselessness are the very reasons this blog was created. All of the differences between the parties are minor and designed to do nothing more than rally the base through vile demagoguery. The American public is constantly lied to about what is in reality a one-party system with Republican and Democratic wings. Our election system is rigged so that no matter who wins, freedom loses.
Same Crap, Different Animal will chronicle the similarities between the parties and destroy the laughable notion that there's a dime's worth of difference between Republicans and Democrats. It should go without saying that not all Republicans follow the Republican Party closely (Congressman Ron Paul is one example), and the same is true for the Democrats. But the parties are collective powerhouses, the real machines behind what gets done in this country. The general trends and characteristics of the two parties, and those who stand lockstep with them, are what's at issue here.
